September 2008
We would firstly like to thank all our clients and visitors for their patience whilst our offices under went a major re-fit. The re-fit was the result of months of planning and co-ordinating and so we would also like to thank Lisa from ‘Source One’ whose company carried out the installation. This now means that not only does our staff benefit from modern work stations but we now have two meeting rooms for our clients.
During September we introduced a new member of staff, James Field. James will head a new department, ‘Credit Management Services’. There is no element of your business more important than being paid on time. So ‘last minute’ activities or leaving it to someone else really isn’t good enough. That’s where Tyrrell & Company Credit Management Services come in. You can contact James on 01223 832477 ext 232. |

As a company we are proud to show huge admiration for a staff member, Hannah Gusterson, who, after months of training recently ran several charity events. Having run a half marathon for the Anthony Nolan Trust in 2hrs and 10 minutes as well as the Race For Life in 22 minutes, Hannah raised a total of over £300. Not stopping there, she is now preparing herself for a 5 mile cross country run to raise funds for the Macmillan Cancer Fund in August. |

Another staff member also showed great strength, courage and determination having visited one of the poorest areas in Uganda. Kerstin Meeson – Smith travelled to Kampala City as an ambassador for the ‘Eagles Wings’ Charity where she shared her knowledge of business with the local community though a series of seminars.
The seminars were full and ranged in number from 40 to several hundred with both men and women attending. A team of three professional ladies, one nurse, one teacher and one accountant, representing Eagles Wings, went out from Kampala to Luwero to conduct specific seminars on financial integrity, debt, basic bookkeeping, adolescence, sexual health and family values. This was in conjunction with local women's groups.
Though Kerstin finances her own travel and accommodation costs, as a charity, your giving is vital to Eagles Wings who supports some of the world’s most desperate and poorest people. These people are in real need of food, medical care and the very basic necessities of life. On a daily basis they struggle against poverty and illness. Your gift will make a massive difference to their lives.
GIFT AID
If you are a UK taxpayer you can make your gifts worth almost 30% more. For every £10 donated, Eagles Wings can claim an extra £2.82 from the Inland Revenue, making your gifts worth even more to the communities that we support. |
